October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and even though it’s coming to an end it seems like there are still pink products everywhere. In fact, they’ll probably be around well into November. With so many companies putting out products, claiming to support breast cancer awareness and to raise money for research, how can anyone be sure they are really helping by buying a pink product. Susan G. Komen has this great list of guidelines called “Five Questions To Ask” on their website that I thought was helpful.

  • Is this company committed?
  • How is the program structured?
  • Who does the program benefit?
  • How will the organization that benefits use my money?
  • Is the program meaningful to me?
  • You can read the full article here.

The company I work for puts out one of their best products in a pink version for the cause. They’re called Tweezers For Life™, a pretty in pink, limited edition Italian tweezer. They feature a unique shape that makes handling them a breeze. Sales throughout the end of October go towards breast cancer charities, Susan G. Komen For The Cure in the US, and the Breast Cancer Society of Canada in Canada. You can find the Denco brand Tweezers For Life in your local independent pharmacy, or you can purchase them online here.
